Sealcoating
Our Process
We typically send two crews to perform your sealcoating service. The prep crew will arrive first. Their work will include among other things cleaning the driveway, applying primers to oil spots, and filling cracks. In addition, this crew may do the detailed work of applying the sealcoat to the edges at the top and bottom of the driveway.
The sealcoating crew will arrive next and perform the expert application of the sealcoat to the mass of the driveway (hand application with 60 inch wide soft neoprene professional squeegee), followed by clean up. Finally, they’ll run our red banner across the bottom of the driveway to block entrance during drying time. This entire process from start to finish might take anywhere from 1 – 3 hours depending on a number of variables.
Of course you do not need to be home during any part of the service. Use the driveway as normal the next day.
Application
Our prep crew will ring the doorbell when they arrive to see if there are any cars you need to move out of the garage. If you are home during the work you’ll see that our crews work quickly and methodically through a step by step process which is precise and efficient.
We seal just up to the edge of the asphalt and do not touch your house or concrete with any black materials. Please look closely at the lip of your concrete before we arrive, as it’s very common for us to see old black material from previous sealcoating on the house and/or concrete when we arrive, and this simply does not happen with our process. (Lol we’d like you to be aware of what was already there, so you don’t think we were responsible! Thanks! :))
Also, please have your sprinkler system turned off during the day of application, as water shouldn’t hit the sealcoating during application or in the first few hours after application.
We use the highest level of premium contractors-grade sealer, made by respected national manufacturer Star-Seal. The sealer we apply to your driveway is the same sealer we use on high-traffic parking lots.
